If You Give A Gay Their Way

Description:

Gay marriage was not enough. An entire month of LGBT pride was not enough. An entire month of LGBT history was not enough. Gay pride parades were not enough. Laws preventing businesses from refusing to sell to LGBT people were not enough. Laws forcing businesses to hire them were not enough. Laws preventing people from accosting them were not enough. The generalized societal discouragement of overt “homophobia” and “transphobia” was not enough. The widespread societal acceptance of the LGBT crowd was not enough.

Every concession that’s been made has been met with some generic line furthering the fight, like “This is a huge victory for the LGBT community, but there is still much work to do!” The fight is unending. No concession you make will ever be enough. You cannot appease these people. People have repeatedly tried appeasing them, but to no avail. What happened is that an “oppressed” people gained enough power to stop making suggestions. Now, they make demands. The more their demands are met, the more they demand. At first it was just about tolerance, and you tolerated it. Soon, however, tolerance wasn’t good enough. Now, mere tolerance doesn’t satisfy them. Enough will never be enough.
